We are awaiting travel Approval from China, and when that comes our agency will be able to set up our legal appointments at the embasy there. Then we will make our final travel arrangements around that appointment. We will fly into Beijing first for a couple days of sight seeing and then fly to Changsha, Hunan Province were Paige is now living. We will then stay with her there for a few days befor we all fly to Guanghou, where the final papers are signed. Then we will fly to Hong Kong for a day and then home.....What a journey.

We have travel plans!!! We are leaving for China on June 20th. We will spend 2 days in Beijing sightseeing. We will visit the great wall, Ming Tomb, the Forbidden City, Tiananman Square, Summer Palace, Silk Ally, and the temple of Heaven! Whew.......what a trip!!!Then we will fly to Changsha, Hunan Province on June 24.This will be Gotcha Day! The day we meet our Paige. We will all stay for about five days there with Paige in a beautiful five star hotel!Then it's off to Guangzhou for three more days and more paperwork. Then on July 3 its off to Hong Kong for one night. Then Its Home to the good ole USA...arriving on the Fourth of JULY!!! What a trip we can't wait.....Only 18 More Days!!!!!

Well, our first few days in Beijing were very hectic. We did a ton of sight seeing and shopping. They took us to several stores for shopping or helping out the econemy...! I really enjoyed the Jade factory, although we didn't purchase anything. Now i wish i had! i wanted a jade mahjong set and a bracelet and mike wanted a Jade dragon carving...oh well. The other sight seeing was boring in my opinion, we took some pictures for the future though. Then it was off to Changsha to get Paige! We had to wait in our hotel room for a call that the babies were ready....boy that was hard! Then they came and we were led to a big room where all the babies, about 13 were waiting..Mike spotted paige right away. She had a pony tail on the top of her head.
we were the second or third couple to be called and i went to get paige, while mike video taped. Of course she cried terribly, and she kept turning and twisting and looking for the care givers. I just kept them out of her sight. After some group talk with the nannies about feeding and sleeping, it was off to our rooms. Paige quieted right down and started playing with the cups we brought. Then she cried, then she coughed, then cried some more. I thought maybe she was sick. we gave her some de-congestant and some tylenol and put her in the crib and she fell right to sleep. The next day, the same thing ...cry cough....cry cough... AND we couldn't get her to drink a bottle! AAArrg. We had to go for our official meetings that day and she cried the whole time. Later that day, we arranged for a Doctor visit because several of the babies were sick. The doctor said Paige had double pnemonia and would need to go to the hospital for an IV. so that's were we spent 3 days of our trip....at the hospital...\\
