LAMARR WOODLEY |
Lamarr Woodley is the unanimous choice of the MPFI as preseason #1 prospect in the state of Michigan. He has a rare combination of size, speed and power. Detroit News Dream Team selection as a junior. Will be a 4-year starter on defense and 3-year starter on offense (tackle). Made nearly 120 tackles and had 12 sacks despite being double and triple teamed by opposing teams. He accounted for 16 tackles against state champion Farmington Hills Harrison in the Division III semifinals. Lamarr should be a top 50 prospect nationally and a consensus All-American candidate. Lamarr is an immediate impact player where ever he goes. He reminds MPFI of a Lawrence Taylor type of difference maker coming off the edge. He has the power to play point of attack and the speed to make plays sideline to sideline. This kid is a can't miss prospect. Michigan and Michigan State will battle many teams across the nation for this "Manchild". We expect him to stay instate and give a slight edge to the Spartans (his cousin is MSU defensive back Jeremiah McLaurin), but we don't expect Lloyd Carr to write him off without a fight. |
