1956
Juliane Werding is born in Essen on July 19th, 1956.  (Zodiac sign is Cancer)
1963
She attends elementary school in Essen.
1967
She moved to BMV grammar school.
1970
Juliane sends a demotape to the talent-scouting program "Talentschuppen" that is broadcast by the TV station SWF.  She is invited to the preliminary round and wins.
1971
She performs the song of Udo Juergens "Mein erster Weg" in the program "Talentschuppen" on SWF.  Before the program begins, she is contracted.
1972
In the spring, "Am Tag als Conny Kramer starb" appears.  It's released as the German version of Joan Baez's hit "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down".  Juliane takes first place in the German charts.  The song stays in the Top Ten for 14 weeks, although the lyrics cause some controversy at the time.  The blockbuster sells over 1,000,000 copies, while the upcoming LP sells 100,000 copies.  The second single from the album is "Kinder des Regenbogens".  Juliane is awarded the "Golden Europa" on the radio station "Europawelle Saar" as well as the "Golden BRAVO-Otto" as the most popula singer of the year.
1973
The singles "Wildes Wasser", "Der ewige Soldat" and the LP "Mein Name ist Juliane" appear.  Juliane passes the O-level finals and then attends business school for 2 years.
1974
The singles "Morgens Fremde, mittags Freunde" and "Wenn ich ein Adler waer" are released.
1975
The single "Wenn du denkst, du denkst, dann denkst du nur du denkst" is recorded with the help of her new producer Gunter Gabriel.  This record takes 4th place in the charts.  The LP "Wenn du denkst..." also appears.  Juliane receives another "Otto" award and a "Silberner Lowe" of "RTL".  She also moves into her first own flat in Duisburg.
1976
The singles "Man muss das Leben eben nehmen, wie das Leben eben ist" and "Komm' und hilf mir durch die Einsamkeit der Nacht" are released in conjunction with the LP "Komm' und hilf...".
1977
Juliane works with Tony Hendrik and Karin Hartmann as the new production team.
1978
Juliane moves in with her boyfriend in Munich.  In April, they both rent a house in the district of Giesing in Munich.  Juliane begins to compose music and write her own lyrics.  The singles "Nur noch eine Nacht", "Postfach auf der gruenen Wiese", "Hotel Royal" and "Klappe auf, Klappe zu" are released in conjunction with her "Ein Schritt weiter..." album.
1979
Juliane travels to India.  She also makes her acting debut in the film "Palermo oder Wolfsburg" which is directed by Werner Schroeter.
1980
The single "Grossstadtlichter" and the LP "Traumland" are released, but barely successful.  Juliane decides to take a break from making music.
1981
Juliane spends the next two years travelling, reading books about far eastern mythology, studying Italian, and learning wood-carving.  The single "Niemand hat Zeit" is released.
1982
Juliane trains herself as a PR woman and works with a big Munich agency.  In the summer, she returns to the studio for the first time in four years.  The single "Nacht voll Schatten", a cover of Mike Oldfield's "Moonlight Shadow", becomes a huge success.
1984
The singles "Geh' nicht in die Stadt (heut Nacht)" and "Sonne auf der Haut", a cover of Nik Kershaw's "Wouldn't It Be Good", are incredibly successful in not only Germany, but the Benelux States as well.  Despite countless TV appearances, she does not give up her PR job.  The LP "Ohne Angst" is released in November.  She also begins working with the Munich production team, composer Herald Steinhauer, and lyricist Dr. Michael Kunze.
1985
Juliane begins her training as an alternative medical practitioner.  "Drei Jahre lang" and "Lohn der Angst" are released as singles.
1986
"Stimmen im Wind", which later became "song of the year", is released as a single just prior to the release of the LP "Sehnsucht ist unheilbar".  This album contains three tracks which are written by Juliane herself.  The album remains in the charts for over a year and is awarded platinum and triple gold status for selling 750,000 copies.  In addition, the singles "Das Wuerfelspiel" and "Sehnsucht is unheilbar" reach the Top 30.
1987
The single "Vielleicht irgendwann" from the "Jenseits der Nacht" album is released in February and immediately makes it into the charts.  The singles "Wahre Luegen" and "Tranen im Ozean" are also released.  The "Jenseits der Nacht" LP reaches gold status, and Juliane is awarded the "Goldene Stimmgabel".  As artist of the year, she is presented the Berolina award in Berlin by the TV station ZDF.  Juliane also gives birth to her son Gabriel on August 5th.
1988
The album "Tarot" is released and also reaches gold status.  With the singles "Starke Gefuehle" and "Tarot", Juliane makes regular TV appearances.
1989
"Nebelmond", the third single from the "Tarot" album is released.  The compilation album "Stationen" is also released, containing her biggest hits.  The single "Wie weit ist Eden" is written by renowned Steinhauer/Kunze team.  "Stationen" reaches gold status as well.  Juliane passes the final exams for her medical training and opens up her own practice as an alternative medical practitioner in Munich.  Her daughter Charis Maria is born on July 11th.
1990
Udo Arndt and former "Spliff" keyboarder Reinhold Heil produce the album "Zet fuer Engel".  "Der Himmel schweigt" and "Zeit fuer Engel" are released as singles.  This album also reaches gold status.  Juliane publishes her first book "Mit ganzer Kraft gesund" with the help of her colleague Werner Stumpf.
1991
The "Zeit nach Avalon zu geh'n" album is released, produced by Armand Volker, a band member of "Muenchener Freiheit".  Much like her 80's albums, Harald Steinhauer contributes about 50% of the songs.  The rest is written by Juliane and Andreas Bartels.  The singles from the album are "Avalon" and "Rote Schuh".  Once again, Juliane is presented with the "Goldene Stimmgabel" award as the most successful artist.
1992
This year marks the start of Juliane's work with her partner Andreas Bartels.  Along with him and Mats Bjorklund, the album "Sie weiss was sie will" is produced by Juliane for the first time.  The single of the same name is released and remains in the Top 100 for 3 months. 
1993
The single "Geister ueber Afrika" appears.  In the ZDF program "Traumjob", Juliane searches for a duet partner and finds the talented young singer Ulrike Sauerland.  Together they release the ballad "Nadza" on the single "Ans Meer zurueck".
1994
The album "Du schaffst es" is released.  The single of the same name, which is a German version of Roy Orbison's hit "You Got It", is released as well.  The second single "Engel wie Du" follows and is sung with Viktor Lazlo and Maggie Reilley.  This trio goes on tour in the Fall, appearing in 20 German cities.  The concert proves to be a huge success.
1995
After the release of "Singles", the third single from "Du schaffst es", Juliane establishes herself as a live artist on a celebrated solo tour which visits 13 cities.  On September 1st, the single "Alles Okay?" is released.  The album of the same name follows on October 20th.
1996
The single "Gib' niemals auf" is released.  Juliane also starts working on her next album, "Land der langsamen Zeit".
1997
Both the single "Weisst du, wer ich bin" and the album "Land der langsamen Zeit" are released.  The album instantly makes it into the Top 30 on the "Media Control" charts.
1998
Juliane starts a very successful tour on January 28th, which visits 20 German cities.  She gives additional concerts in Berlin and other cities as well.  Again, Juliane is awarded the "Goldene Stimmgabel" on October 10th.  She also releases a new single "Manner kommen und geh'n" in October from a new album.  The very promising album "Sie" appears in November.  "Sie" reaches the Top 40 of the "Media Control" charts.
1999
For the ARD TV series "Drei mit Herz", Juliane contributes the theme "Alles kann passier'n", a track from "Sie".  She splits up with partner and hit producer Andreas Bartels.  She also releases a Best Of album "Der Weg 1972-1999".  This compilation contains the track "I Remember", a duet with pop legend Howard Junes, which also appears on "Sie".  The song is performed at the award show "Goldene Europa".
2000
In conjunction with the release of "Der Weg 1972-1999", Juliane goes on a German tour with her 8-man band.  Due to the considerable success, she gives 27 concerts altogether, which include performing twice in the sold out concert hall "Friedrichstadtpalast" in Berlin, twice again in the sold out concert hall "Kulturpalast" in Dresden, which is unprecedented in her music genre.  In August, Juliane and her record label WEA go their separate ways after a very successful cooperation for 15 years.  Towards the end of the year, she takes an acting course and plays a part in the theatre play "Die Vagina-Monologe" by Eve Ensler.  The piece is performed in the "Metropol Theater" in Munich.  Juliane also writes two treatments for a TV series.  In November, she signs a new contract with Polydor (Universal Music).
2001
Along with a new team, she pursues her work on a new album.  The promo single "Es gibt kein Zurueck" is released in February.  Beginning in July, the single "Daisy", a cover version of Marque's "One To Make Her Happy", is released.  The album "Es gibt kein Zurueck" is released in August.  With the help of her partner Uwe Birnstein, Juliane also publishes her second book called "Sagen sie mal Herr Jesus..." in September.  The book contains fictitious interviews with personalities from The Bible which are humorous and provocative.
