Slowly and silently it sneaks inside,
Greed, anger, lust, hate, and pride.
Gently it sneaks through your soul,
Never making a sound, never letting you know.
Soon it will be strong, as it continues to grow,
Then little by little it will take control.
This mystical monster, full of nothing but evil,
Rends your heart useless, faint, and feeble.
And the most terrifying fact, of all of these,
Is that you give it life, and the control it needs.
This darkness will grip your heart from within,
It will grow and take over, if you let it win.
The pain will have no beginning it will have no end,
This life ending monster is known as sin.
Alas my dear child, fret not for your soul,
Give up your fear, let God have control.
The instruction is simple, and the beast cannot live,
If you want to destroy him then take what I give.
Upon your knees, my sweet child kneel,
Give in to the sadness and speak what you feel.
Pour unto me all of your tears,
I shall wipe them away along with the fear.
Pay heed to your feelings that cry from within,
Open your soul to me, please let me in.
The warmth you shall feel, is my hand on your heart,
The sin will flee from you, no longer in charge.
Speak unto me your hearts deepest mistakes,
I shall cast them into forgetfulness, for my sake.
You shall be made cleaner than a newborn babe,
The sin you were born into, no longer remains.
Take what I offer and accept your Father true,
Give Love unto me, and I shall give all unto you.
