"Grandma's Prayers" |
by Robin Blackburn and Sandra Bradley (c) 2004 |
My cousin Robin and I dedicate this song to our Grandma Pauline |
I remember my Grandma I remember my Grandma I remember my Grandma And the way that she used to pray. When I knelt down beside her I could feel the faith Coming from the bottom of her heart. As she called each and ev'ry name out loud to God Asking Him to never let us part. Then with tears she'd pray, "Lord, give them love in their life. Give them all a feeling without fear." With a smile on her face then I would hear her pray, "Make them ready when the time is near." With her eyes turned toward heaven I would hear her say, "Thank you God for all that you have done. Thank you for watching over all my fam-i-ly. Thank you for your precious holy Son." I remember my Grandma I remember my Grandma I remember my Grandma And the way that she used to pray. |
