HOLY SPIRIT, HOLD AND GUIDE ME When I feel my energy slip from me;
When I am ready to fall away;
You hold onto me.
My grasp tightens.
Fighting not to let go.
Please do not let me fall too far.
While I am fast asleep
I hear you call my name.
Wake me up in time,
So I may share the morning
With my Father, my Brother, and you.


I kneel down to say my prayers.
How hard it is to find the words to say.
That's when you wrap yourself around me
And whisper them in my ear.
Holy Spirit, please hold me close.
Do not let me slip away.
Do not let this lamb stray too far.


As I fight this battle,
I vow to remain steadfast and fight
With all my soul,
With all my might,
So the kingdom will forever last.
My Father is the king.
My brother gave his life to save mine.
Still I battle the evil
Blocking my path home.
Just when I have had enough.
Exhausted and unable to fight.
My mind and body are weary.
Again, I feel ready to fall.
You lift me up and keep me going.
Whispering words of courage.
My heart begins to swell,
As I feel the fire burning
Within.
My soul is awakened.
I am ready to fight the battle again.


Dear Holy Ghost, stay beside me
So I may not fall.
Keep close to me.
Guide me home.
