Mukama Waffe Yebazibwe Olwabajulizi Abazira Deep in the jungle forest of the African plains you find yourself lost and worst of all, alone. Trying to get a picture of the Great Crane has caused you to get lost from your tour group. You don't see your jeep anywhere in the forest trees. Plus now it's getting dark. You have to find cover somewhere. There's too many wild animals out and about that would love to eat an unarmed human.
"Hello." A pair of lavender eyes appear out of the darkness, staring at you from the shadows under the trees. "No, I'm not lost...." You say not entirely sure. "Sure you are. Why else would you be here now?" Her eye approach with a bounce as if she is stepping towards you yet you can't hear her footsteps over your beating heart. A face begins to materialize before you, her ghosty spots of lavender brighten against the forest scenery. You say nothing. "Just as I thought. Well now, now that you're here I guess I shall have to entertain you until we can find a way to send you back to your land." Soon her cat-like appearances become apparent, she appears to (what you can tell) be a black panther-like creature. She sighed and shakes her head. "I guess I better tell you my name, then you can tell me yours, #VISITOR." She smiled mysteriously. "I am Aluziza. You can call my Ziza if you wish. Don't get on my dark side with "Zee." I pray that you wouldn't do such. It would not be much fun."Ziza smiles at you yet for some reason the look in her eye gives you a foreboding feeling. "Come." She waves her hand for you to follow. "But-" "You're name please, It is only polite to tell me your name." "#VISITOR." "Yes, of course. Now, follow me please, and watch your footing. Follow exactly where I go. There are many dangers in the African jungle." Along the way, after you fall into a few pits and are nearly eaten by a crocodile Ziza decides it's better that you rest before you can carry on. She finds a tree which she says is safe for you to rest in, as long as you keep your feet up, and shoos away a large beetle. She helps you climb into the branches before effortlessly bounding to an adjacent limb. She clears away some of the hanging vines so that she can see you eye-to-eye. "Well while we rest I might as well tell you about me. as you already know I am Aluziza. If that name doesn't ring a bell well then..." She grins evilly. "After you leave this place you will not remember any of our meeting. None of this will remind in your memory, unless to take a token with you that is. Even then you'll only remember my eyes." "What? That can't-" She raises her paw causing you to stop. "So now that we have that settled let’s continue." Again she smiles, as if she knows something more then you do. "Now then, I am apart of a secret tribe, the Botswana, to protect the vast wild lands from poachers and unkind forces from destroying what is left in Africa. But we are few and the powers continue to grow against us. Our combined abilities are not enough. We cannot be in two places at once and even with our great abilities we have been able to do little to stop the slaughter of many of the native animals here in Africa. So many have come so very close to extinction." Ziza's voice fades, her eyes stare off in the distance. When her voice return it is filled with emotion. "They now turn to hunting us. Killing all that speak our magical language, Yeyi. There is only about 27,000 people left that even speak my native tongue. Even those not apart of our tribe are falling under their heartless murder. Human, animal, pet, all fall to their evil. I have said too much. I must let you go. It is no longer safe here. We must carry on if we are to return you to your homeland. Come, follow me." She jumps from her branch as wings appear on her back guiding her down to the forest ground. "Jump and I will catch you." You begin following her once again, this time more wary of where you step. "Here. I have brought you to the path that leads you home. You may follow it, it shall keep you safe." "What about you? Will we ever meet again?" You ask, a tear welling in your eye. She nods slowly. "Yes, Nothing happens without a reason. You were meant to find me and I you. I do not understand why you came to me but if it is willed you will see me again." She holds out her hand to you. "Here, take this token with you. May you return to me someday." "Now you must chose your path. Will you be returning straight home or will you make a stop to rest on the way? These are safest paths I have been able to construct. Follow where your heart leads you. It will never lead you astray. Farewell!" You turn back to back to say goodbye. You see the lavender eyes once more, that look upon you then close, disappearing into the background. The sun begins to raise in a spring of gold and red light. At your feet a clearly marked yet somehow special path is laid before you. "Farewell." She turn one last time, there's nothing behind you, not even a sign of the path you are on. You open your hand for the first time since Ziza gave you the token, you don't even remember where it came from but you know it's important.
