At the age of 24, I found out that I was going to have my first child, My husband seemed very excited about it at first, especially after finding out it was a boy. Then things changed for the worse, he started going out with his friends and was drinking. One day we got into a arguement, I do not remember over what, all I remember was him grabbing me by the throat, and throwing me down to the floor, I hit my head on the microwave stand and it knocked me out for a few minutes, when I got up, I tried to get out the front door, but he shoved me and said your not going anyplace, I ran to the back door and again he stopped me, I kicked him and ran for the front door, as I got the door unlocked and was getting ready to run out, I heard a gun cock, he told me that if I go out that door he will shoot me in the back, well, I took that chance and ran out the door and down the street to a neighbors house. They called the police, 3 police cars came flying to my house, they talked to me, seen his hand prints around my throat, as they turned black and blue and they felt the bump on the back of my head, I also told them that I was pregnant. The police went to my house, found the loaded gun, they took his gun and then cuffed him and took him to jail, the police told me that he would not be getting his gun back, and asked me if I wanted to go to the hospital to get checked, I told them no, that I was ok, and that if I felt any worse that I would go, or have someone take me and get checked out. |
