A Short Biography
Robert Fulghum never intended to become a writer.  He wrote an essay titled “All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten”.  He was contacted by a publisher and since then his books have collectively sold more than 15 million copies in 93 countries.

Robert Fulghum (pronounced Full-jum) grew up in Waco, Texas. He is an essayist and an artist. He lives with his wife and divides that time between Utah and his houseboat in Seattle.

When asked what he does for a living, he usually replies that he is a philosopher. In his life he has been a working cowboy, folksinger, IBM salesman, professional artist, parish minister, bartender, teacher of drawing and painting, and father.
