Summary:
In Midsomer Parva, two burglars are found dead in a field owned by Harry Chatwyn - both have been killed by electrocution. The locals think the aliens that made the crop circles the bodies were found in are responsible for the deaths, but Barnaby believes otherwise when Steve Ramsey is found electrocuted in his car and local alien-fanatic, Lloyd Kirby, is the third one to be found dead in the crop field...

The deaths of the two burglars - Eddie Fields and Ronnie Stokes - were both accidental. Christian Aubrey had a burglar repellant system that sent a bolt of electricity through the body of anyone who tried to access the house. Unfortunately, both had weak hearts and were killed by the shock, so Aubrey placed them in the crop field to 'blame' the extra terrestial. The murderer of Steve Ramsay is Harry Chatwyn, who wanted Ramsay dead for having sex in his crop field with Sally Boulter, the woman Chatwyn was lusting after. The murderers of Lloyd Kirby are Dave Ripert and Sally Boulter. The first had made the crop circles in the field to force his beliefs in extra terrestial life on others, but the latter two committed a far more serious crime: they were burglars too, and hid all their loot in Ivy Cottage. Lloyd Kirby caught them, and so he was pushed down a flight of stairs and broke his neck. |
