Divine Discontent
By: Anonymous

Shining lights from the moon fall on my eyes
Eyes that glare into an ugly relfection
Imperfections too plentiful to disguise
Try to flee from the sight of my complextion

Too ashamed to set foot in her presence
I run to the comfort of my own shell
Absorbing the heat from feeling so tense
I fixate on every inch of "the hell"

Pondering a cure to this mad cursed sore
The thoughts of exclusion flood my head
But suddenly a knock on the door
Brings a beautiful lady to my bed

Her eyes glowing with penetrating vision
See not the skin but the person within
