NorthEast Dos Bandidos 5932 N. Green Bay Ave. great Margueritas and good American-Mexican food.
NorthEast Mama Mia's 26th & Silver Spring

Virtually no-one walks away from here without a carry-out bag (BIG portions and a full meal -- soup, salad, garlic bread, main course, dessert). My favorite: Lasagna

Downtown Stonefly Brewing Company
(Formerly Onopa Brewing
735 E.Center
(corner of Center & Fratney)
Hand-crafted Ales; Live Music Wed-Sat
Happy Hour 4-7 M-F
Downtown Milwaukee Ale House 233 N.Water Street Part of the trendy new downtown revitalization on the Water Street Strip. Tends to be noisy and crowded with the younger set. Much much of the beer falls short (for my tastes), but to each their own. Give it a try, if that's your thing.
Downtown Water Street 1101 N.Water Street Ditto the above.
Downtown Rockbottom 740 N.Plankinton Street If nation-wide chain brewpubs trip your trigger, give 'em a try.
Most evaluations I've seen suggest they fall short.

(midway between Wolf and Peshtigo)
Gordo says "best beer-battered walleye on the planet" and a great sunset view.
Athelstane Kosir's Hwy.C at the Peshtigo River OK "bar food", but patronize the place -- they have been generally friendly to generations of boaters on the Peshtigo River.
Markton Wolf River Inn ? take-out for Wolf River, Sec.III OK food, with a great view of Gilmore's Mistake.
Patronize the place (at least for drinks) -- they don't have to let us park, take out, use their change rooms, showers, etc, but they always have. Show them your gratitude.
