Professional Experience 1995 - Present: National Semiconductor, Irvine, CA Test Engineering Supervisor Responsible for all aspects of DC and RF test of multilayer ceramic circuits, including equipment requirements, methods, schedules and labor and cost projections. Supervise Test Department in prototype through high volume production programs, directing both technical and hourly staff members. Modification of existing test and assembly methods in high volume ceramic production program resulted in a doubling of substrate test throughput and reduced labor costs. Review external test subcontractors. Consequently, have increased volume and streamlined flow, saving an estimated 50% on overall test and assembly costs. Excellent vendor and supplier rapport. Use innovative methods to cut DC and RF test fixture costs, saving thousands in NRE and production test expenditures. 1984 - 1995: Hughes Aircraft Company, Newport Beach, CA Product Development Engineer Designed passive microwave circuits and components used in evaluating performance characteristics of ceramic / thick film materials systems. Developed unique software and hardware integration for active laser trimming and patterning of microwave circuits. Developed technical proposals that were instrumental in the company's acquisition of DARPA funding for advanced research projects. Patents / Publications / Awards United States Patents (2) involving multilayer microwave circuit design and fabrication. Contributor to published papers in ISHM as well as several professional and technical magazine articles.
