Every once in a while...it was pledge time at WFHL. TV can be expensive like that. Same at WILL...only different. But WILL's number was: (217)-333-8812, the first phone number I ever knew besides 0.
WCIA's last Weather W. They have a new one now.
WCIA's second(?) weather W.

That W has been replaced with one like this that is black and white.

SOME CAN'T SEE CORNER LOGOS

As a person who finds a corner logo that stays up distracting and unnececery, I've found yet another reason they do even less good, if any. That is, people who can't even see them.

Their are those who can't see the logos that stay over the picture at all. After all, they are pretty small. What good is this type of logo to them?

They will ask me what station it is. The first while, I would ask them, "Can't you tell?" They could not then, and can't now.

These same people can see a good ol' full screen logo though. AND they don't like the over NEWS logo up at WGN. Guess they can see that one.

Oh no. That's right, now even our VCR's put things over the picture! Why have this happen at all? The text on a good VCR is about the same size. And I think I can tell when it is playing.
UPDATE- Now WCIA has a mostly white one like this.
I had a desription typed out for this full-screen ID...But let me just say I liked the one before this one better.
hmmm...Like WILL's first call letter's over the picture...only thicker and on the other side of the picture.
WILL's first use of over-picture call letters. Somthing like in 1999, I think. 2001?
Nice WEIU-51 ID from the late 1990's or early 2000's, or both.
WCCU TV 27...such an elusive signal. If you can't get it, try 55.
1990
Ehh...The set they have now looks better than this did. And I have no idea what good having the temperature left up does in Chicago. I don't even get up there much. Isn't that what the weather part is for? And, oh, don't even get me started on the clock thing. Why not go back to showing the different times labeled by city/zone at a designated time, hmm? Oh, I forgot, a silly item at the end seems to take precedence at times.
