Anatomy 101
The modern trumpet has an ovalular shape to it. It has three valves in the center of it and when pushed can be used to extend the tubing. The trumpet is built in Bb and most trumpet music is written in C. Trumpets have a range of three octaves.
Tuning Slide- can be slide in(flat) and out(if sharpe).
Mouthpiece- where the vibrations are made and harnessed by the trumpet, can be used to change pitches.
1st Valve tube- is used to tune the first valve, is also the place where the tone goes when the first valve is pushed.
2nd Valve tube- is used to tune the second valve, where second valve tone goes when pushed
3rd Valve tube- is used to tune third valve, where third valve tone goes when pushed
Valves- used to change direction of sound to tubes. used to change length of tubing and note.
