I walk New Zealand's roads, to places I've not been,
I'm free and no man is my master.
I watch the morning sun, and I feel the wind blow soft,
The sky is blue and my life is spread before me.
Torn and faded blanket, patches on my jeans,
My shoes are worn, and old and they need mending.
No home to tie me down, no job to hold me back,
I'm free and I love this land I walk on.
