As you will see, I love my cars.  This is my baby, a 1999 Ford Contour SVT.  It's definately not your ordinary Contour.  SVT stands for Special Vehicle Team, which  is Ford's tuning division.  They also make the Mustang Cobra, the F150 Lightning and the Focus SVT.  The Contour SVT has a 200 hp 2.5L V6 HO engine, tuned suspension, tuned intake and exhaust, larger tires and wheels and body pieces that differntiate it from a "normal" Contour. The specs are pretty impressive for a four door sedan costing less than $24,000:  0-60 mph in 6.9 seconds, quarter mile in 15.4 seconds at 91 mph, latteral accelration of 0.86g. Ford produced around 11,000 SVT Contours from 1998 - 2000, so you don't see many on the road.  As the Contour line was discontinued after the 2000 model year, so was the SVT. This shot was taken on a nice fall day near my home in northern Vermont.
