Mobility
Maddie's standing up pretty easily. She pulls herself up, cruises around until she finds something interesting to play with. I can walk with her holding both hands, but if I let go of one, she'll protest-- even though she's clearly capable.
Her crawling is very fast indeed. If you leave the room, she'll follow you. If you're sitting, she'll crawl over and yank on your leg so you'll pick her up.
On the 23rd, at the Bonney's house, I stood her up, and she stayed standing for a second, wobbled, and mover her leg. It was definitely intentional, and she regained her balance.
Babbling
She's babbling a lot now. It's primarily "bababa", but it's great to hear. We were a little concerned. If you ask Louise's mom, she'd say that Maddie says "bye-bye" and "mama", but it's actually just "bababa".
Eating
She'll eat anything that you can eat with 2 full teeth and 4 nubs. Breads, chicken, veggies, etc. in addition to the foods she could eat before (cottage cheese, yogurt). Foods she doesn't like (eggs, for example) she'll deposit on her tray with a disgusted look, and possibly scrape her tongue. Recently, I was eating a banana, and she grabbed my arm, pulled the banana to her mouth, and took a big bite. She want to try everything.
Sleeping
She's doing great. Put her to bed at 8:30, and she drifts off, waking up at 6-7. The only hitches are when there are interruptions-- sickness, several days when she falls asleep in our arms before bedtime. Then we have to recondition her to falling asleep on her own.
