| Beach Vacation No beach house this time. This time we just went up as a threesome and stayed in the Holiday Inn Express. Lots of swimming, pizza, sand crabs, frolicking in the waves, and sand castles. |

| Pool Our goal of getting friends to join the pool was realized, with 3 neighborhood families joining and a few others dropping in occasionally. However, it wasn't terribly hot, so Dad only got a few visits. Maddie got to go a bunch of times, including with her nannies. |
| Summer School Maddie had art class for a week, then Global Village (exploring several countries' cultures), then Animal Explorer or some such. |
| Two-Wheeler Still unable to ride a two-wheeler. Lots of conflict during the practice sessions. Capable but terrified. |
| County Fair Maddie won a few more ribbons at the County Fair. Nothing big-- she's in the 7-12 age group, where the cometition's fierce. But a couple of honorable mentions and a third place for her artwork, which ain't bad considering the competition. |
