What do you want, my whole life story? |
This will just have to do for starters.
At the tail-end of 2001, I rode a Honda Falcon for 16,500 kilometres through Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, Chile and Paraguay. I got off every night, though sometimes it didn't feel that way.
There was a lot of wind. I reached the Uttermost End Of The Earth and loved it, but also some cracking Brazilian football matches... the dark heart of Paraguay... the world's friendliest dirt-poor Chilean stall-holder... I witnessed a revolution in Argentina... and lost my heart to a million different skylines.
I did all this with a lousy camera> and I'm doing all this manually. Teaching myself how to construct a bog-standard website in, oooh, three lazy years.
I'll finish it in the end, if that's not a tautology. In the meantime the links over on the left work but occasionally you'll be led up a dark cyber alley with no escape. Heading for 'home' or failing that the dubious charms of http://mikewith.com/ should get you back here.
None of the pages have been subbed -- ironic considering my job -- and all sorts of old stuff hasn't been corrected. My brother is providing a fantastic banner for the top of the page, but he's forgotten and I'm not going to remind him 'til I finish the words. I'll get round to fixing it all soon enough. And now I'll stop apologising.
Please email me if you find anything you like, hate or don't compreenda.
