The Ben Franklin Parkway and front courtyard of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
It’s pretty clear that people in Pennsylvania have a deep appreciation for art. One sees it in the quilts that are made in the Dutch Country. One also recognizes it in the many monuments that populate the various historical sites. It is also apparent in the classical style of the buildings of the region. Given the high level of involvement that art has in the Pennsylvanian’s life, it is no surprise that the premier museum in the area would celebrate this synthesis.
