You're Gone

I'm getting used to your absence
I'm holding back the tears
I'm focusing on the future
Instead of dwelling on lost years...

I'll miss your warming presence
And your comforting embrace
Though you're gone I know
No one will ever take your place

What hurts the most is that you're near
In body, not in mind
If only you could finish searching
For whatever you need to find
