It Hurts

It hurts to wake up and see you
Remembering all the hate
How is possible that one could have
So much of a horrible trait

It hurts riding to and from school
Not saying a single word
With only the music blaring
Such deafening silence is absurd

It hurts coming home every day
To words of anger and madness
So little thought put into them
Yet causing so much sadness

It hurts going to sleep at night
After critical remarks you make
Each word that leaves your lips
Once more causing my heart to break

It hurts to love you as much as I do
It hurts when you make me cry
It hurts because I care about you so much
And it'll hurt to say goodbye.
