Open Up

I can't ever read your emotions
Seemingly barricaded inside you somewhere

Mysterious and sophistocated
Maybe that's why you're always in my mind
Because I don't really know you

You seem to put on a facade for me
Never really exposing the real you
Only revealing parts at a time
So who are you?
And why do you feel the need to hide yourself?
You need to let it all out
And expose your true nature
Before you become trapped for eternity
As a victim of your own scam.

Why do you attempt to rule the mentality of others
When yours alone is beautiful?
What great things you could do,
If you only opened up instead of imprisoning
So much talent and splendor.

Who are you?
You hide it well, but I'm just here to caution you
That maybe you shouldn't secrete yourself
But rather open up and expose yourself to the world
So that maybe you can truly discern the real you
Instead of keeping yourself wrapped up in a box.
