The satari taluka of Goa, boasts of accomodating an enormous forest area spreading over 50,010;215 Ha making it the largest forest cover on west coast of India
Today this site, a  favorite among adventure enthusiasts and students of rock-climbing, is used for field training, camping and hiking.

The COLEM and MOLEM forest areas located in it's close proximity have already been declared as National Wildlife Sanctuaries and renamed as Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary. The area protects several endangered species of flora and fauna and is very popular among tourists.

These thick forests are bound by the Sahayadri range of mountains, the womb of several famous rivers of Goa.

Immense peaks on three sides and a breath- taking valley on the fourth grip the selected site; good enough to draw anyone back to his roots       mother nature.

The site bears close proximity to the railways and the Dongurh river which is frequented by water sports enthusiasts; white water rafting being the prime sport.

The surrounding rocks comprise of METAGRAWAKES-rock which has excellent hand-hold and foot-hold capacity to be amongst the best natural description available for rock-climbing
