F-16 "The Viper"

This as a very impotant attack plane and has the best avionics accroding to some pilots. The F-16 is in service for the Air Force. It's main function is a multirole fighter. The contractor is General Dynamics.   It's length is 49 feet 5 inches. The height is 16 feet. Wing span is 32 feet and 8 inches. The F-16 is powered by one pratt & Witney F100-Pw-200/220 or F11--GE-100 turbofan with afterburner. Thrust is 27,000 pounds psi. Maximum speed is 1,500 Mach 2 at sea level. Range is more than 2,000 miles about 1,740 nautical miles. The armament is one M-61a1 20mm multi-barrel cannon with 500 rounds. External stations can carryup to six AIM-9 infared missiles and varios Air To Groung and different Air To Air Missiles.   Ultimately, one of the best fighters of today.
