He also has been on several trips to the pet store and other people's houses, and met many dogs and children. He's been on several adventures out in the woods and beach. His first big public outing was the fall Helping Paws graduation.

Milo's also had his first visit to the veterinarian in October - thanks to Chanhassen Veterinarian Clinic for donating a portion of Milo's care!
November...
- Drop (laying position)
- Sitting while there are distractions
- Laying on his back
- Laying down for longer periods of time
- Teeth brushing
- "Dressing" in the gentle leader

We had a "puppy trade" in class to give the puppies new experiences, so Milo spent one week with another family. His sister, Maya, stayed at our house.
December...
We've continued to work and build on what's he's learned already, and he's  really sharpening some of his skills. For example, he's become really great at dropping (laying down) in the past week. He's also excellent at coming immediately to his name, as long as there aren't any big distractions, like a bunny running across the lawn! Some new skills he's been working on:

- Putting on his Helping Paws pack - with both the pack and his gentle leader, he sees it and runs over to put his head through. So far he loves putting them on.
- Riding in the car out of his kennel, using his harness and a dog seatbelt
- Touching his nose on a guide stick
- Sitting (waiting) when a piece of food is present in front of him
- Standing (standing still)
- Go To Bed command (means to go find a blanket/bed to lay down on)
- Laying while there are movement distractions
- Touching nose to light switch
- Wearing his gentle leader for a minute or so (without trying to take it off)
- Attention to trainer even when there are food or toy distractions
- Rollover
- Picking up objects and giving
