Alcoholics Anonymous
is a fellowship of
men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each
other, that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover
from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop
drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership. We are
self-supporting through our own contributions. AA is not allied with any
sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish
to engage in any controversy, neither endorses or opposes any causes. Our
primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve
sobriety.
The Milwaukee Central Office of Alcoholics Anonymous
has been
established as a service center by AA Groups of the Greater Milwaukee
Area. It now serves the surrounding counties, as well as Milwaukee. It is
supported entirely by voluntary contributions from the AA Groups and the
sale of literature.
The office is open from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday,
and from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. The phone number is (414)
771-9119. This number (414) 771-9119 is operational 24 hours a day, 7 days
a week. Group Secretaries
