Duo Maxwell, in Deathscythe Hell, vs Roy Fokker, in Skull 1
Duo powered up his Gundam. "Well, here I am in Round 3. Wonder who I'm up against?" Meanwhile a fighter plane appeared, but a closer observation showed that this was no ordinary fighter, but the Skull 1. Going into Guardian mode, it slowed down and landed in front of the Gundam, then transformed into Battloid mode. A judge stood in front of a comlink.
"This fight will be a special one!!! Any minute now a swarm of flying monkeys will bring various handheld weapons of destruction. Use them."
A swarm of flying monkeys did appear, and dropped the weapons as said. They were normal handheld weapons, ranging from crossbows to assault rifles to rocket launchers to field cannons firing a multitude of forms of weapons, from bullets to shells to lasers. Only these guns were blown up to scale with the 16-meter tall mechs using them, and the crossbow, instead of arrows, fired ballistic missiles. There was even a battleship deck gun rigged so that a push of a trigger would set off the 15 inch gun turret.
Duo takes the initiative and charges at the Skull 1, swinging his scythe down. The Skull 1 dodges off to the side, picking up a a crossbow and firing it at Deathscythe. The Gundam ducks, but the missile launched from the crossbow explodes, raining a cloud of shrapnel and debris on the Gundam. Duo tries to manuver out of the cloud, but Skull 1 picks up another gun, a rocket launcher this time, and fires it into the cloud. The missile explodes, this time releasing a cloud of acid that starts eating at Deathscythe's armor.
Deathscythe retaliates by picking up a Gatling gun and fires it at Skull 1. The VT dodges, but is hit several times, its armor bursting off in several places and warning lights flashing in the cockpit. Roy turns to the left, charges, and kicks Deathscythe in the face. As Deathscythe takes the hit Duo brings his scythe down, slicing off a wing and part of a foot. Skull 1 turns and fires its own Gatling gun. Deathscythe blocks with the Buster shield and fires into Skull 1. Skull 1 tries to dodge, but the shield slices off the remnants of its wounded leg and takes off a rear fin. Roy pulls his Skull 1 into a barrel roll and kicks Deathscythe in the side of the head.
"You're really startin' ta piss me off!" Duo picks up the battleship deck gun lying on the floor. He shoots at the VT with it. Roy dodges every shot while firing into the modified turret with 2 missiles.
"You should learn some history. There's a reason air power became more important than having big ships with big guns." Roy's missiles hit and causes a cordite flash. On a battleship, a cordite flash occurs when a shell hits the gun turret of a dreadnought, setting off cordite charges(the propellant for the shells). What happens next was that the cordite flash reaches the magazine room and sets off the explosives stored there, causing huge damage to the ship. In WW1 Germany realized this feature in their battleships and corrected it. The British did not realize it and so did not fix the mistake. Now what happened to the Deathscythe was not quite so serious, but the cordite flash did blow off an arm. Roy flies his VT in for the kill.
Suddenly Duo lets loose with the Vulcan guns mounted on his Gundam's head. The small anti-personnel guns were fired at the missile pod on Skull 1's good wing. It explodes, taking a large amount of the Veritech fighter's side with it. Duo then charges the fighter, and bashes it with Deathscythe's wings. An attempt to hit the Gundam with lasers failed when Duo ripped them off the fighter's nose.
"You should learn some history. There's a reason Mobile Suits replaced airplanes and tanks as the main weapon of the Earth Shere." Duo pilots his battered Gundam to the summit of Mount Hua.
