Wode Warrior Mark 1.0
How do you represent a warrior cast that didnt wear armor in a sparring system that requires it?

That is the question that this suit explores.  I dont intend this suit to be an accurate historical reference to the celtic warrior cast, merely an artists honest attempt to capture its essence into a viable form of martial sparring. Instead of having to recreate a naked man in wode, ive split the difference and gone with a partialy armored man in wode. The suit is made from approx 12oz leather, both veg tan and black latigo. the veg tan has been hardened using the common water and heat drying technique, and then the back is given a parrafin wax coat, while the surface has been painted (Wode) and then lacquered. the plates on the belt and bracers are fully saturated with wax and the entire suit is hand sewn with 'barge' leather cement reinforcing. The suit has been made to fit up to a size 40 waist, and as pictured is on me size 34, and can a couple inces further. One of the things im most proud of in this suit is its lnot only light weight but it distributes the weight very well.

To the future owner to provide ultimate comfort and protection, I would add some 1/4 felt as a backing, which will increase comfort (its a very comfortable suit to begin with) and and added layer of protection. I'd have done it myself but im in the middle of finals, and behind on a couple bills. ;)
