Structure & Units of SAF

Overview of SAF

Singapore is a small nation state lying off the coast of Malaysia. Singapore appears to be a stable and secure country with a strong economy. With a population of 3.5 million, Singapore has the highest ration of troops to citizens in ASEAN.

Singapore's defence spending (which is pegged by the government at an upper limit of 6% of GDP) is roughly equal to that of Indonesia, Malaysia or Thailand despite the city-state's relatively small population.
