Puppy Stuff
General Info

The pictures below are of a past litter.
These are to show you exactly how our puppies are raised.
We don't always have puppies, but when we do, it's tons of fun. Well, it's tons of work, too, but we still enjoy it.
As you can see, there are quite a few things to do in the puppy room.
I also keep an open crate here so the pups will come to think of it as a nice place to hang out.  (Good start to prepare for crate training)
The location of this room is in the hub of the house so they get to know all the sounds of a normal household.

It's very hard to pass by the puppy room without hopping the gate to play with them!
Our granddaughter loves to visit. Oh, we get about a minute and a half of her time before she's off to see the puppies...
Basic Information

My Schnauzers are vet-checked before breeding and have their eyes checked yearly by a vet ophthalmologist. (CERFed).
I will not breed dogs with allergies. The world just doesn’t need any more itchy Minis!
I will not knowingly breed a dog with any problems that could be inherited.
I’m doing my best to produce schnauzers that fall within the miniature schnauzer standard.
In short, I’m doing my best to produce proper, healthy, good looking, sweet tempered Minis who will offer their families years of happiness.

Puppies are sold with limited AKC registration, which means they are not to be bred, but can be shown or work in any AKC event except Conformation.
They come with a written health guarantee and will be sold under a spay/neuter contract
They will be vet-checked, up to date on shots, and will have been wormed. They come with a sample of the food I use, a help sheet, and a toy with the mom’s scent on it. I also give out a five-generation pedigree.
Pups are typically released at eight weeks unless ear cropping is requested.
Microchipping is also available.

No shipping.
Why?
Well I personally want to meet the person or family who is getting one of our babies.  I’ll admit that I’m rather protective of my pups, and doing it this way makes me comfortable.
I would also think that most folks looking for a puppy would like to meet the breeder, see how the puppies are raised, etc.

To Approved Homes Only
What does this mean?
Simply put, I want to get to know you a bit and see what your needs are. I want to be sure that this breed is the right one for you, and that your home is the right one for this breed.
When I ask personal questions of someone, it’s not because I’m particularly nosey.
I ask questions because I care. I want to make sure that a puppy ends up in the best situation possible. My desire is that his/her new home will be a forever home.
The plan is to make sure that the
family understands what they are getting so that they will be completely happy with their decision.
