| The stock front brake set up on the US spec ZB50 is a drum brake. The drum brake on the front really takes away the sportbike/performance look of the ZB50, plus another thing is that it does not stop as well as a disk brake.The factory Monkey R and Monkey RT in Japan came with the front disk brake set up. The caliper is made by Nissin. I purchased this front brake set up with my recent visit to Japan (I will talk about that later!). Installation was pretty simple. Just remove the fork tubes and swap over the new fork tubes. The Monkey R fork tubes have the disk brake hanger, plus mounts for the Monkey R front fender. |
