My Summer Trip to Nagoya Japan
I don't have much pictures of my trip as the video capture card is currently not working. When I fix it, I will update this page with some cool and interesting pictures!
The summer of 2001 was one of the best summers that I had ever had! I spent two weeks in Nagoya Japan to visit my good friend Jamie, and also to check out the cool motorcycles that we can't get here in the States.

I arrived in Nagoya on Sunday afternoon. The flight lasted 10 long hours. I was really excited and did not get much sleep on the plane. As I got off the plane, I immediatly noticed the heat and humidity. I had never experienced this type of weather before. It was like being in a sauna everywhere you go! By the time I got past customs I was sweaty and tired. Jamie then picked me up at the gate (right on time too!). As we left, I would soon experience first hand how nice and friendly the Japanese people are. Jamie's car was parked in a waiting zone next to the curb. The problem was that there were cars blocking Jamie's car on all sides! Of the 3 cars, only one of them had the driver sitting in the seat. It was this guy driving a big van behind us. Without his help, we would of probably been stuck there forever!  The guy saw us trying to get out, so he backed his van as much as he could and then got out and helped us direct traffic! We barely squeezed through! I was so suprised! We did not even know this guy! He was just a stranger! Thanks!

The next stop right after the airport was to the motorcycle shops! We didn't even go home to unpack yet! Yes, I was kind of tired from the 10 hour flight, (not to mention the jet lag). But once I saw all those NSR250s, TZR250s, Monkeys, etc, I was way too excited and would soon forget that I needed sleep!! All I was thinking about was riding one of these bikes! We stopped at a couple motorcycle shops to look at some bikes. The bikes were so amazing! They were small in displacement (mostly 2 stroke 250cc and under), but packed a big punch! They were super trick with many of them having upside down forks, dry clutch, single sided swing arm, and even credit card ignition (NSR250)! They could probably take on any full size Honda CBR929, or Yamaha R1 that we get here in the States! I did not want to leave those bike shops, but we then had to hurry up and go to Nankai and purchase the  NSR80 Jha pipe on sale as it was going to end that evening! The people at Nankai were so nice and the shop was awesome. They gave me an excellent deal on my Jha pipe and Miya muffler. A thing I found interesting was that Nankai has a rack full of tools that you can borrow! Nankai lets you borrow these tools in the parking lot so you could  install the parts that you just bought for free! How nice of them! It turned out that Nankai would be my favorite shop of all (compared to a shop called Racing World that wouldn't even let me bring my camcorder inside!)Thanks Nankai.
