The factory tires that came with the ZB50 were IRC scooter style tires! They looke really bad! The tires were skinny and looked like they came off of one of those cheap Honda Elite 50 type scooters. They maybe good for a stock ZB50, but for my high performance ZB50 I needed a better tire!! In the US, there is very little market for these little 10" tires, meaning our choices are limited. In Japan where the Monkey bikes are popular, almost all the Japanese tire manufactures sell 10" tires. Dunlop even makes the TT91 in 10" version (a popular race tire for the YSR/NSR 12" sized bike). After looking around, these Bridgestone Molas 16 tires are the best I could find for the ZB50. They have a nice side wall with good treads. I have not tested these tires on the track, so I could not say if they are good or not for racing.. For general ZB50 Street racing/riding, they are good enough. Compound is medium, and stickness is good. |
