Ministry of Attack Airsoft
Rate and Rules of Engagement.
In many different scenarios and games there will be many different rates and rules of engagement that will be necessary depending on the situation.

Rules of Engagements

The rules of engagements will vary depending on the scenario and the role you are playing in it.  A different approach may be necessary from assulting a building in a team to capturing a flag on your own.  In the team you may want to rely on numbers and fire to kill as many of the opposition as possible but if you were trying to capture a flag on your own while everyone else was just shooting each other then you might want to be stealthy and only engage those targets who are a direct threat.

Assulting

When someone is in the role of assulting you would expect them to be just trying to kill as many of the enemy as possible to make achieving their objective easier.  They would engage anyone in range.

Infiltrating

This is where you might want to get from point A to point B but trying not to draw to much attention to yourself.  In this mode you would only engage targets of direct threat to yourself.  You might want to infiltrate to get to a position behind the enemy in preparation for an assult.
Reconnaissance

When someone is in recon mode they would be trying to avoid detection by the enemy at all costs. The purpose of recon is to gather intelligence on the enemy before planning an assult.  You will not fire a shot unless absolutely necessary.

Sniping

This is a specific mode normally for snipers.  Snipers play two roles they supply information to the assult teams.  They also have the motto one shot one kill.  Being that playing with airsoft guns that can be pretty difficult normally the definition of sniping is shooting at just beyond AEG range to take a target out with only a few rounds.  Snipers normally fire only in single shot, this is good because it doesn't waste rounds and because there isn't a line of bb's coming out of your gun it means it is harder to trace your position.
