Wood you believe that!
On one glorious day, the fair maidens decided to go for a carriage ride. They traveled up and down the myriad of roadways in search of something new. As they were passing by a lovely park, a memory stirred in Sarah's psyche. "Wait!" she cried, "I remember that place! My grandparents used to take me there as a child. Can't we please stop for a moment?" Shannon immediately slowed the carriage looking for a place to turn. Her rule had always been never to turn back, but she also wanted to she this place that stirred such a response from her truest friend. Around a bend there was a drive, so Shannon swung the carriage around and started to back in when "THUMP!"
"Uh-oh" Shannon moaned. "What was that?" As she tried to pull the carriage forward, Shannon realized they were stuck on something! So they leaped out of the carriage to find out what was going on. Lo and behold, they were on a log! "Hmmm." pondered Shannon. "Let's try rocking the carriage back and forth." So she climbed back in and tried to go back and forth, but to no avail.
"What if I bounced on it while you tried that?" suggested Sarah. But again, they reached no results. They lifted and pried, and jumped and revved, but nothing was helping. They even tried getting help from a nearby cottage, but alas, no one was home. As the lasses stood pondering what to do, a young man happened around the corner. He must have realized the maidens were in a bind, for he offered his services. Sarah and Shannon quickly accepted, not knowing what else to do. So the man came behind their carriage and while Shannon tried to go forward, he pushed with all his might, and "ZOOM!" The carriage was free once again! Sarah and Shannon cheered and thanked the man with heartfelt appreciation, but the man would accept nothing from the women in payment, and disappeared into the horizon.
