Miranda's Real Pets - Cats
Luna
Luna was one of the first kittens we found, but obviously she isn't a kitten anymore! I named her after the cat in Sailor Moon because she looks similar. The name suits her because she likes to explore at night. She is very curious but sophisticated at the same time. She likes to leave us presents on the patio such as dead rats, gecko heads, and mutilated bird parts! Her fur is silky and overall Luna is very sweet. Sometimes she rolls over and invites you to scratch her white tummy. She is a beautiful cat! O.o
Kovu
Kovu is my baby boy, but I don't think he thinks he is. He is bolder than Luna and likes to lounge around a lot more. Kiara looked a lot like him, only she had more white markings. Obviously I named them both after the Lion King II characters. Anyway, Kovu likes to chew people's toes and fingers. He also likes to play games with Pooh Bear. Kovu teases her by lying down and when she starts biting him playfully, he jumps up and swipes her with his claws! (Pooh Bear thinks she wins the games but the cat knows better ;)) In my opinion cats are a lot smarter than dogs. Dogs are easy to win over but cats are another story. They know they rule the world and treat you like your only purose is to feed them and scratch them when they want you to. That's how Kovu is! And they NEVER LOOK AT YOU!!! Cats are cool!
I have three cats; Luna, Kovu, and Nadia. My neighborhood friends and I found a total of 6 kittens abandoned in the forest down our street. All were adopted, three by me. Unfortunately, my third kitten Kiara died when she was hit by a car on Tuesday January 8, 2002. Now my family and I continue to love Luna and Kovu. (The cats are mine more than my family's ;)) Both are outside cats and they like it that way. Both are spayed and neutered. Our latest addition to our cat family is the little runt, Nadia. One day she showed up on our doorstep and adopted us. She's quite feisty, and she thinks she owns the place!

Nadia
Nadia might seem sweet and loving, but underneath that cuteness she is a bundle of mischief. In this picture, we were keeping her inside to keep her fed and safe when we first got her. She's adorable, but watch your back! You might find some claws and teeth clinging to you. ;-)
