The
MIRROR SHOT
in
"BLACK AND BLUE"

Kay Howard, at the wheel of one of the pool Cavaliers, stops the car alongside Tyron's car, door to door. During the dialogue that follows, Howard's face can be seen – apparently reflected, but perhaps not – in his sideview mirror.

Viewers speculated that the effect may have been achieved by situating a mirror between the two cars, or alternatively a camera, so that the image of Howard's face could be reflected or projected to the sideview mirror.
