It’s That Time Again...!
It seems that we just up-dated this thing, and lo and behold...it’s time to do it again! OK, the biggie between then and now, I suppose was Bike Week. We covered the cole slaw wrestling at Cabbage Patch for Thunder Roads magazine, and hit Willies Tropical Tattoo Bike Show for our own enjoyment, plus a private party in Holly Hill at Wild Bill’s new digs...that was our Bike Week, plenty for me! Next was an event that I really like...Leesburg Bikefest, in - where else - Leesburg, Fl. I just went up on Sat., April 25 for the day, that’s about all this old boy can handle anymore!! Here’s an event that’s growing in both size, and, popularity. Huge crowd this year, and as always...no problems, (that I could see!) Some items were a bit pricey, but you gotta expect this I guess! Good entertainment, good sanitary facilities, places to sit and rest, lots of vendors, drinking on the street, and the law was very mellow, to say the least. As I always say...Daytona, take notice!! No cages on Main St...good move Leesburg!! Bike traffic moved slow, but generally kept moving. Side walk traffic...well, the same old thing. Idiots stopping to pet a dog or goo, goo at a baby in a buggy, clogged everything up! You know...the usual! I had a slight problem at the Rats Hole show with some uninformed stage people, but this was quickly cleared up by SUPER MC Radical Randy, and I soon got a spot on-stage to view the happenings! Thanks Randy!!
Not much else to yak about. Did my usual local club parties, helped daughter ValGal to get hooked up with Thunder Roads mag, she’s doing real good too! Grand daughter Jessica is growing like a weed, and as pretty as ever!! Me....? Well, I’m hangin’ in there. Getting ready for yet another National Geographic, Wall to Wall TV show. Hopefully, I’ll get a bit of air time!! Oh yeah, the pics are from Leesburg, for those of you who couldn’t make it. I’ll catch ya later, and get out there and support yer local motorcycle club...they need you!!
