Sunshine Shake
In a blender combine:
One 6oz can unsweetened frozen orange juice concentrate
3/4 cup milk
3/4 cup water
1 tsp. vanilla
6 ice cubes
Blend well and serve. Makes 4 servings.

Independence Day Shake
1/2 cup cold milk
1 tablespoon of any flavor gelatin
(one 3 oz. box for every 6 children)
Fresh fruit...blueberries, strawberries, bananas
Measure and pour milk and gelatin into shaker.
Add fruit
Close lid and shake
Pour into 8 oz cups and let children stir

Orange Julius
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup water
1/3 cup orange juice concentrate
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
6 crushed ice cubes
Put in a blender and mix for 30 seconds. Serves 1.

Banana Yogurt Salad
2 large bananas
2 cups yogurt
1/4 cup nuts, chopped
orange sections
Peel and split bananas; place in two serving dishes. Spoon yogurt onto each banana. Sprinkle with nuts and surround with orange sections.

Pineapple Dessert
Pineapple Dessert
1 large container of Cool Whip
1 large can (20 oz) crushed pineapple, drained
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup lemon juice
1 cup chopped pecans
2 graham cracker pie shells
Mix pineapple and sweetened condensed milk. Fold in cool whip until thoroughly combined. Add lemon juice and fold in pecans. Pour into two pie shells and chill for about 4 hours.

Cinnamon Bites
1 can refrigerated biscuits
1/4 cup margarine, melted
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon
Cut biscuits into quarters. Dip biscuits in melted margarine and roll in cinnamon-sugar mixture. Bake at 375 degrees for 4 minutes. Makes 40 cinnamon bites.

Jelly Muffins
1 box corn muffin mix
grape jelly
Prepare the corn muffin mix as directed on the package. Place paper cupcake liners in cupcake pan. Fill the cupcake liner 1/2 way with the corn muffin mixture. Place about a tablespoon of jelly on top of the mixture, now fill the rest of the way with more mixture. Bake as directed on corn muffin package.

Fruit Pizza
Spread already prepared sugar cookie dough on a 12" round pizza pan and bake per directions on dough package. When cooled, let the children spread soft cream cheese onto the baked cookie dough. Let the children slice and put a variety of delicious fruits onto the cream cheese.
Suggestions: Blueberries, Strawberries, Bananas, Kiwi, Sliced Grapes.

Filled Apple Rings
Apples
Peanut Butter
Cream Cheese (mix in raisins if you desire)
Core apples and fill the empty core with peanut butter or cream cheese. Cut the apple on its side to make thick rings and eat!

Banana Wrap
8 inch flour tortilla
3 Tbsp peanut butter
3 Tbsp grape jelly
1 small banana, peeled
Place tortilla on a paper towel. Microwave 10 to 20 seconds on high until the tortilla is soft and warm. Spread with peanut butter. Top with grape jelly. Place the banana near the right edge of the tortilla. Fold up the bottom fourth of the tortilla. Bring right edge over the banana and roll up.

Banana Push-Ups
2 large bananas, cut up
1/2 cup instant nonfat dry milk
1 cup plain yogurt
6 oz. frozen orange juice, concentrate (1 can)
1 cup water
Combine all of the ingredients in a blender and whirl until foamy. Pour into paper cups and freeze. When eating, push up from the bottom of the cup.

Cheerio Bars
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup honey
3 cups Cheerios
Bring sugar and honey to a boil in 2 qt. saucepan. Remove from heat, stir in peanut butter until blended. Pour in cheerios and mix until well coated. Spread in buttered 9x13 pan and let cool. Cut in squares.
