Farmed Salmon

Could Pose Health Risks -

Pledge Not to Buy It!

A study released in the respected journal Science on January 9th, 2004 found that, in most cases, consuming more than one serving of farmed salmon per month could pose unacceptable cancer risks, according to United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) standards for determining safe fish consumption levels.

The study established that concentrations of several contaminants such as PCBs and Dioxins, which are associated with serious health risks ranging from neurological effects to cancer, are significantly higher in farmed salmon than in wild salmon.

Tell retailers you won’t buy farmed salmon until these reported concerns have been met! ..... See full petition at the Coastal Alliance for Aquaculture Reform (CAAR).
