So what's new? April 28, 2002 So we've been doing triple time to get ready for Miss July and The Ta-Ta's summer tour! Check our tour page to see if we're stopping in a town near you, and email us places to play and people to contact if you want us to play your town. April 15, 2002 Miss July had a blast playing live on V89's Hootenany tonight. If you missed out, you can always request to hear something from A New Level of Cool or Foxy Moron via streaming audio at the WVFS Tallahassee site. If you can't get enough and want your own copies, check out our ordering page for details on ordering. April 5, 2002 For those of you wondering where you can find the Ladyfest South Benefit Compilation Southern Belles Raisin' Hell, you can buy them online at CD Baby. Do it! Do it! March 29, 2002 A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who came out to the Ladyfest South Benefit show last night, to those of you who bought the Benefit Compilation, and to all the bands that played! And a special thanks to Oriflamme for coming all the way from Gainesville! Fingers crossed that a mini-road trip works out to go to the Sarah Dougher, Tami Hart, and Oriflamme show tonight at The Warehouse in Gainesville. Other news... In one week you can catch Miss July performing at the Battle of the Bands. It's Friday, April 5th on the Union Green on FSU's campus. We're up against 14 of Tallahassee's supa-groups! Come out and show your support! I wonder if they judge in part by the cheers from the crowd? Ok, and it starts at 8 PM, GO! Looking into the crystal ball.... I see boxes of spaghetti, PBJ sandwiches, loads of guitars, 2 packed volvo station wagons, and a road atlas... That's right Miss July and the Ta-Ta's are planning another summer tour! We had such a blast last May that we're going to indulge in more rock. Look for us in a club near you this June. If you want to book us in your town, email MissJuly@yourmom.com March 2002 So we've been reallllllly busy... We've been in the studio for what feels like forever, but in reality is probably closer to 2 months, and are nearing completion of our 2nd album, Foxy Moron. It's Miss July like you've never heard before sprawling out in exciting new directions. Check out our upcoming shows to hear the new material, and even better show up on Thursday, April 18 to the Club Downunder and you can get your own personal copy!! February 2002 Miss July's Myopic Little Me will be part of a benefit compilation to raise money for Ladyfest South. You can get your copy of the comp, Southern Belles Raisin' Hell, at various CD release parties throughout the south during the month of March. 11/01/01 Biggest news: A New Level of Cool is going to be done as a split release between Blind as a Bat and bumbleBEAR Records. We just played a show with the bumbleBEAR boys last weekend, and it was lots of fun-- more pop and silliness than you could shake a stick at. The split release is going to up the quality of the album as far as packaging goes. We're hoping to re-record much of the album within the next two months, so there should be a step-up in the recording quality as well. If you've already bought the album, there will be a couple new songs on the re-release, plus it'll look so much snazzier... Almost like a whole new record! We're working on new stuff as well... We hope to have an EP out sometime this spring. We just contributed a song to a bumbleBEAR/Planting Seeds Christmas compilation. That should be coming out sometime in the next few months; we'll keep you updated. If you want to check out bumbleBEAR's supercute sight, you can see them at www.bumblebear.com. Also: we just got buttons printed up. They're pretty dern cute, if we do say so ourselves. There should be a picture of those up in the next couple weeks, as well as other merch, like.... T-shirts! We'll keep you posted. ;) |
