Welcome to our classroom website! I truly enjoy teaching third grade!
Third grade is an exciting time for you and your child. I believe that learning should be an adventure. I teach in a variety of ways. Many of my lessons are hand-on activities where the children are active learners. The children in my classroom also learn through presentations, experiments, games, pencil and paper assignments, as well as through many other activities.
I believe that all children are smart. We are all smart in different ways. I am a believer of Howard Gardener's "Theory of Multiple Intelligences." He believes that there are eight different forms of intelligence, not just one.
Another vital part of my classroom is the use of cooperative groups. Students work in groups where each member has an active role.
