LEXX: 'Love Grows'

The crew of the Stripper are merrily towing a dangerous cargo through space when the LEXX eats them. Escaping from the ship's stomach, the crew infect the LEXX crew with an unusual disease.

Yes, LEXX deals with sex again, and in a partcularly odd way. Just as Xev finally gives in to her libido and offers herself to Stan, a couple of vaguely attractive men arrive on board, thereby spoiling Stan's chances. What follows is strange and funny, as the drugs the Stripper was carrying infect everyone including the LEXX itself and reverse each person's sex organs.

The Stripper crew are probably the most normal people the LEXX crew have met thus far, and although they may be in need of some lovin', you can't fault them for that. It's fun to see the changes that slowly come over the characters, with voices changing pitch, and attitudes changing. The fact that Xev finally gets some satisfaction, but not in the way she'd hoped, is also a fun twist.

The main idea is to point out that men and women take on certain passive/dominant roles, and the reversal here makes a clever point about how we treat each other. The solution to the problem is also nicely simple and makes sense, so if it's an episode revolving purely around carnal desires you're after, this is the one for you.
