Seven Days: Brother, Can You Spare a Bomb?

Frank backsteps and enlists Ramsey's help to stop a bombing campaign conducted by Ramsey's brother, Nicholas.

It's good to see Nate finally brought into the action a bit more, and that's probably mainly due to Nick Searcy helping to come up with the storyline. These actors, they think they know best...

Anyway, the start of the episode sets things up pretty well. The bombings are conducted with some great special effects, including one of most of a building going up in flames, and the arrest of Nate as well is a clever way of making it more personal, even if Frank's subsequent help means Ramsey is off the hook, which he shouldn't be really.

On this topic, it's good to see Frank assisting Ramsey, showing that he does have a certain respect for him, even if it doesn't seem to be reciprocated. Things are nicely paced too, with the pre-backstep sequence lasting just the right amount of time before Parker and Ramsey set out to stop the bombs. There's a certain amount of tension and excitement generated with time limits and suchlike too, which gives the episode plenty of energy.

It's not the most wonderful piece of TV this year, but despite having a storyline that doesn't really hold any surprises, it's still a very watchable 45 minutes.
