Seven Days: Sister's Keeper

Frank is sent back to save a high-ranking military officer from a plane crash, but Olga uses the opportunity to attempt to save her sister, who was murdered the day Parker backsteps.

A more emotional episode helps make this an above-average effort, even if it does run a bit like Sister Act without the laughs. Justina Vail is as good as ever, playing Parker expertly for maximum effect, and also producing a convincing sisterly rapport with sibling Svetlana. Jonathan La Paglia also comes across well, refusing to succumb to Svetlana's advances due to his feelings for Olga. He's clearly grown since last season.

It seems the production team have some kind of deal going with Las Vegas, as this episode makes the third time this year that Vegas has been the setting for a story. Maybe they keep getting invited back to spend more money in the slot machines.

The villains are somewhat two-dimensional, however, with it never being quite clear just why they're after Svetlana aside from the fact that she has money. Maybe I wasn't paying attention, but I don't recall where she got this windfall from. As is Seven Days' wont, the episode moves along at a fair pace, but doesn't actually offer anything more than basic, reasonably predictable entertainment. It's okay, but nothing special.
