The story so far: Mulder and Scully have uncovered a major part of the global conspiracy, at the expense of the Well Manicured Man's life. Bees are being used to transmit a deadly virus to humans, a virus that causes an alien creature to gestate inside the human body, then burst out killing its host. Lacking proof of their discovery, Mulder and Scully have now been reassigned under a new supervisor, AD Kersh, and Agent Spender, the son of Mulder's nemesis the Cigarette Smoking Man and Agent Diana Fowley, Mulder's ex-lover and partner who helped him found the X-Files have taken over the investigations of strange phenomena filed under X.
