"A lot of battles get won before the first shot is fired. When you're eyes meet his, and he knows you're willing to pay the price in blood. His blood, your blood- it doesn't matter. From that moment on... you're commited".
DO UNTO OTHERS.....BUT COVER YOUR BUTT.
Remember that cover doesn't always mean automatic safety. If your target is hiding in a doorway and hasn't spotted you yet, that's good. If they are running by you and have no idea that you are hiding in a doorway that's even better. The element of suprise can be your best weapon in single combat.....and using it to your full advantage and guarenteeing your survival is the best way to get out of a single combat situation.

When you are in full view, make sure you not only know where cover is, but where the zoning areas are. This could very well save your skin if something goes wrong. Don't worry about being called names, you'll get them another day!

DO UNTO OTHERS AS THEY HAVE DONE TO YOU.
The best way to learn is to get yourself pasted a few times. Take note of varying strategies of those around you. True, some are grafters and twinks, and rely solely on that, but those that don't can be an excellent source of tactics and strategies.....even you if you end up jocking the reclaim.
DO UNTO TO OTHERS, USE YOUR STRENGTHS...AND EXPLOIT THEIR WEAKNESSES
After you get a few basic strategies down, begin taking note of the combat styles of opposing classes. Using Fixer roots to freeze an Enforcer and taking them out with your bot from a safe distance is a good example of this tactic, and you'll start noticing the strengths and weakness of your average player the longer you stay in the field. You'll know you did well when you get tells aferwards about how unfairly you fought.
" I love these guys walking around the field with those floating torches hanging over thier shoulders. Dumb. That's like putting a neon holosign over your head that says 'Hey, I'm over here- shoot me' "
"Where did I learn? On the Streets of Pain and the Schoolyard of Bad Breaks..."
"Duel? Whattaya mean 'duel'? The frack you think this is, the Wild Wild West?"
DO UNTO OTHERS...THEN SPLIT
You openly pasted that 500 lb. Enforcer, and now he's sending you tells that he's coming back for you. Or maybe your little hiding place isn't so secure anymore after you wiped the streets up with that Agent a moment ago, and people are gunning for you. Before anyone has a chance to get you back, hop in your Yalm and get the frack out. Sure, this could be called a cowardly thing to do, but you made your point, got your kill, and there's no reason you shouldn't get the frag outta there!

Besides, you're a 'punk and you don't give a greasy hair on a leet's butt what they have to say about you.
"That sound they make just as thier body hit's the floor is like an orgasm....it's a rush of excitement and I wish it would last alot longer before the other person goes limp."
DO UNTO OTHERS...THEN CUT THE CARDS
Always make your enemy play the Game your way. Know the lay out of the area, if they are chasing you lure them into a place where you know you'll have the advantage. Burn them out and circle back and get them from behind. There's no harm in combing through the streets in groups just to flush them out....while your booster pal is at the other end with a very hefty burst rifle waiting for them. You're not in this for titles but for the sheer thrill of it anyways. Sometimes having a plan is the best way to take a person out. Have a person that pasted you everytime you grid into an area? Then get a couple of pals together and waste him every chance you get.

Sure he won't lose titles....but it'll be so annoying that maybe he'll back off for a bit.
WELCOME TO THE SCHOOL OF LOW BLOWS AND ASSASIN'S TRICKS
"It's not just having an automatic weapon that makes you a hard case. It's knowing how to use the weapon effectively. A good combat gunner can deny an area, rake a group, or put a single person out of commission before they knew what hit them."
