Q-zar

Botan snickered, pulling out a few items from a chest she had been keeping in her closet.

She let her hands move lightly over the objects, gazing at them with all the mischief in the world before standing, throwing them in a small bag and happily trotting her way to Koenma's bedroom.

She knew he would be there right now, resting a bit.  She had forced the issue, but it was for more reason than the fact he needed rest, though that was part of it too.  She was about to spring a suprise on him that she thought he would, at first, object to, then probably get a large kick out of.

Slowly opening the door, Botan stepped inside Koenma's room, and moved to the small form on the bed, and lightly stroked his hair.

A small sound came from him and he pulled the blankets up tighter around himself, mostly still asleep.

She giggled lightly, and lightly yanked his hair, causing Koenma to turn over and look at her with more than a little aggitation..to start.  When he noticed who it was, he sat up, rubbing the sleep away from his toddler eyes, and looked confusedly at Botan.  "What is it..? Is it time to go back to work already?"

Botan shook her head, blue ponytail shaking lightly, and tossed the bag into Koenma's lap.

He blinked, confused, and slowly opened it, and reached inside.  As he pulled out one of the items, his eyes widened in suprise, and he looked at Botan.  "No!"

"Yes!"

"No!"

"Yes!"

"No means NO!"

Botan frowned and lunged at Koenma, who, anticipating this, dashed from the bed, causing Botan to collapse upon it in a heap.

She grumbled, standing, and tried to grab Koenma again.  But, in his toddler form, he was easily able to out-distance her, and quickly darted under his bed, having very little trouble hiding there.

Botan knelt and reached for him, but Koenma moved away, darting out the other side and towards the bathroom, quickly taking teenage form.

However, Botan's oar was suddenly below him, tripping him.  He fell flat on his face and felt Botan jump on top of him.

He struggled as she put the items on him, then backed off, grinning and moved to the bag.

Slowly, she pulled out a few more items, and put them on.

"Ugh,"  Koenma frowned.  "I don't WANT to play Q-Zar!"

Botan giggled, finishing strapping on her vest, and grinned at Koenma. "Well, I'm afraid you have to, Koenma-sama..You said if I could get you in the gear..."

"I know, I know.." He frowned.   "Let me get in some real clothes though."

"Awwww!"  Botan said, her grin increasing.  "I think bunny pajamas look cute on you."

Koenma flushed and stalked into the bathroom to change, while Botan giggled hysterically.

Koenma sulked alongside the ever-happy Botan, his Q-Zar vest and gun ready, and over a pair of jeans and a T-Shirt.   Botan was in a T-Shirt and jeans, too, just in case they were to get muddy out here in the forest.

Botan stopped a good distance in and turned to the very angry Koenma. "Well, you ready Koenma-sama?"

He grumbled out that he was, and Botan giggled.  "Count to 20!"  She darted off, and Koenma started counting, annoyedly.

Once she was out of range, the tables turned and he grinned, pulling the gun out and quickly taking off after her.

All that practice with George wasn't going to go to waste now!

Botan giggled and hid behind a tree, looking around its trunk for Koenma, who she was sure was done counting and after her by now, on his way to her little trap.

However, the sound of a small laugh above her caused her to look up, standing as she did so.  She realized the mistake as soon as the 'beep' went off on her vest, and she saw Koenma dash away.

She growled.  "Lucky shot, Koenma-sama!  But I'll still win."

"Not likely."  He mumbled, sliding off a tree and darting through the underbrush.

Slowly, he let himself fall into Child form, the vest getting ten times his size and the gun as well.  He slid into a bush and waited.

As if on time, Botan came running up, looking for him.  Her vest was right open, but he waited a moment before taking the second of four shots.  As Botan began to turn to go away from him, he fired.

Botan blinked as she heard the second 'beep' and then darted after Koenma as he resumed teenage form and took off away from her.

They kept running for several moments, before Koenma reached the river and turned.  Botan and Koenma fired in unison, but he was a quick shot and Botan saw one piece of his vest light up as the last two on hers did.

Botan blinked, and looked down, then at Koenma, who grinned at her.

"Koenma-sama!"   She said, angrily, while Koenma blew at his gun as if smoke came from it.   "How did you do that?!  Last time we played you didn't last a second."

Koenma took off the vest and handed it and the gun to her as he went by. "Practice, Botan, practice."

Botan grumbled, then grinned.   "Next time..." she promised herself and darted off back towards the castle.

"Oohhh, Koenma-sama..."  She popped her head into his room, and he looked at her and shook his head.  She nodded, grinning, and walked in with a small sack...
